My first commercial art studio was based in NYC in 1969. Most of my clientel during those days were companies connected with the garment trade but also included Grant's Stores, Volkwagen International, ITT, Macy's Stores, UARCO Business Forms and various advertising agencies in the Greater Metropolitan Area.

In the early seventies, I moved my business to Upstate New York. Clients included Cambridge Electronics, West Point Military Academy, The Concord Hotel, Ross Industries, US Army Recruiting Command, NYS Department of Corrections and a variety of major manufacturing, wholesaling and retail businesses.

I was an editorial cartoonist for the Times Herald Record (Middletown, NY) and my first comic strip was a weekly called 'Simon's Song' (Panorama Weekly) during the mid-seventies.  I created the fire safety comic feature, 'Fireman Gus' in1972. It has been in publication, now, for more than forty years. Fireman Gus comic books and activity books, teaching children about fire safety, have been printed in the millions and are still distributed by fire houses into schools and children's recreational centers throughout the United States. I moved to  Florida in 1991 and have been operating as a commercial artist and cartoonist in this region ever since.

History Highlights of Florida was first published in this state by weekly newspapers during the mid- nineties. The Byrds was originally a weekly feature in only one newspaper. The Sanibel Island Sun. Now, this strip has been revised and is available as a humorous feature to newspapers all over the state.  Alpha-Bank, the word game for two players, was first published in The Goodtime Graphic, a weekly paper circulated in the Southern tier of New York state and in SMILES Magazine.
